When applying for a Zambian passport, ensuring your passport photo meets the official requirements is crucial. At Yellow Line, we provide passport photos services that adhere to the Zambian government's specifications. We do NOT issue passports at Yellow Line but can help with the passport photos only.
Requirements for passport photos in Zambia
Passport photos must be recent, taken within the last six months, and must accurately represent your current appearance. The photo should be in color, with no shadows or reflections, and must be printed on high-quality photo paper. The passport photos must be with a plain white background. Applicants must maintain a neutral facial expression and look directly at the camera—smiling is not permitted. Headwear is not allowed, except for religious or cultural reasons. At Yellow Line we adhere to all official requirements so that you don't have to worry.
Passport Application Process in Zambia
Applying for a Zambian passport requires submitting a completed application form, two recent passport-size photographs, and a National Registration Card (NRC). For applicants under 16, a birth certificate and a parental consent form are also required. Processing time for a new passport is typically 3 weeks.
